SiteVision Develops New CMS For Shenandoah Framing

Shenandoah Framing Roanoke, VA April 18, 2013:  Shenandoah Framing, Inc., a wholesale framing manufacturer of Lexington, VA, partnered with Sitevision, Inc. to create its new website.  The firm’s updated presence implements a content management system (CMS) designed to allow publishing, editing and modifying content from a core interface.

The new CMS eliminates complex coding and creates client control over HTML-based content, files, documents, and the like. One or multiple employees at various permission levels may change content easily within a familiar word processing environment.  In addition to core website features, SiteVision developed a searchable, sortable database of its some 3500 mouldings.  Customers may search by a number of variables including specific color, sku and width to quickly see matching items.

Shenandoah Framing provides framing products and services to customers throughout the continental United States, Puerto Rico, Hawaii and Canada. The company itself is nearing its thirty-fourth year of serving the industry. In addition to serving as a distributor for major moulding manufacturers, the firm also designs and manufacturers its own exclusive moulding line.  The firm’s entire inventory is available in length, chop, joined and ready-made frames.

Roanoke, VA November 27, 2012:  The Near Southwest Preparedness Alliance (NSPA) was created in 2004 to advance and improve the state of disaster preparedness for healthcare organizations within the jurisdictions of the Near Southwest Region.  The new website, developed by SiteVision, was created to better communicate goals, events, current and ongoing projects with its members, board of directors, committees and the general public.

The Alliance is the identified regional healthcare emergency preparedness coordinating organization for the Near Southwest region as established by the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA) and the Virginia Department of Health.  The website is based on a content management system that permits NSPA users to easily update, add content and event notifications, as well as provide for future expansion as required.

Veterinary Association Chooses SiteVision For New Content Management System

The Content Management System was developed by SiteVision, Inc.

As a provider of education, resources and fellowship, WVMA (http://www.wvvma.org/) required a basic, easily maintained website that allowed them to communicate effectively with their professional membership and the community. SiteVision provided the enhanced design, coding and implementation. The new site features general information, as well as a membership e-commerce module, plus online event management. The primary purpose of the site is to present the organization – its goals and vision – while providing the ability to update membership and the public on available resources, news and legislation, board meetings, events and other matters of member and public interest. As a content management implementation, the new site allows the Association to update their site as required while providing the flexibility to enhance or grow the site as their internet requirements change.

Business sites, however, carry the full force of your reputation and image, and should never be delegated to less than professional care and feeding – even small sites.

Content Management Systems

If it’s a small site, likely your design and development team may suggest an equally simple template design with core pages and navigation.  A more complex site might be well served with a customised Content Management System.  These CMS systems deliver a positive visual continuity within the site, while allowing personnel to contribute to site content at varying permission levels.  We emphasize visual continuity, because older sites, over time, often become a jumble of disparate type, images and navigation that deliver a disorganized and inept message.  Almost any option can include a secure back-end area for internal and customer communications as well as other legacy matters that need be incorporated into the update site.

The new website http://www.harrison-firm.com/ enables the firm to aggregate and share important legal news, discuss and present issues on Facebook, share information on Twitter and subscribe to relevant news feeds. Visitors to the site may also read news items, featured newsletter content and sign up to receive updated or relevant legal information as the firm publishes new material.

 An easy-to-use authoring tool works very much like word processing, enabling users to update content without knowing anything about HTML.  Another helpful feature automatically updates the firm’s Facebook and Twitter feeds – a task that was once manual.  By establishing the initial structure and design of the site, the firm’s users are left free to create content while the CMS handles the more esoteric routines in the background.
