Alert: Severe Security Vulnerabilities in Norton and Symantec Products
According to security researchers, Symantec’s security violations are “as bad as they get.” They impact both consumer and enterprise software including Symantec Endpoint Protection, Norton Security, Norton 360, and other Symantec and Norton branded products.
The violations were found by Google’s Project Zero Team, a group of top Google security researchers with the sole mission of tracking down and neutering the most insidious security flaws in the world’s software. The team says all versions on all platforms are impacted.
Symantec posted an advisory, and some products will be automatically updated, but there are some that cannot be, so check your products carefully. You can read more at the provided links.

Roanoke Bar Association
The Roanoke Bar Association was established to provide a forum for promoting professional excellence among members of the Bar in the Roanoke area, and to provide useful public resources for the community at large. Resource topics include, “How to find an attorney,” RBA scholarship offerings, self-help for Virginia courts and other useful articles. Their website also features comprehensive links to local, state and federal legal resource information, certifying organizations, bankruptcy basics and more.
“It was a pleasure to work with SiteVision to develop the new website. Once we moved our hosting and monitoring to SiteVision, we didn’t have to worry about anything. For most people, the language of websites might as well be Greek. The people at SiteVision speak this language fluently, but they also speak every day, common English and will take the time to explain everything so those of us who are not website gurus can understand the problem and the solution. I am retiring at the end of June and the website is a challenging concern to our new executive director. I think after she works with SiteVision a couple of times, she will see that she, too, has nothing to worry about.” Cathy Caddy,
